After launching its first Connecticut storefront in Hartford in late April, Massachusetts-based Insa Cannabis has opened its second location in New Haven as it expands in the Nutmeg State.
Insa Cannabis, a multistate legal marijuana business, opened its first dispensary in the former Chowder Pot restaurant property at 167 Brainard Road, Hartford, in late April, and now the brand has opened another dispensary at the former site of the Long Wharf Theater, 222 Sargent Drive, New Haven.
While both storefronts are open, Insa is hosting grand opening ceremonies in June to celebrate the brand’s Connecticut expansion.
The new locations join Insa’s 15 other cannabis retail stores in Ohio, Massachusetts and Florida, according to the company. Insa operates one of the closest cannabis businesses from the Connecticut border in Springfield, Mass.
While just the retail operations are underway now, Insa purchased the property adjacent to its Hartford dispensary for future cultivation and production facilities. The company signed a 10-year lease for its New Haven store last year.
