A Des Plaines man was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Disorderly Conduct in relation to an incident that occurred on Thursday, May 30, at UP, LLC, a cannabis dispensary at 1173 S. Elmhurst Rd.

Following an investigation by the Des Plaines Police Department, charges were filed against Daniel J. Nardo, 33, of 940 Beau Dr., Des Plaines.

Des Plaines police were dispatched to the business at approximately 1:41 p.m. The victim/caller, a 22-year-old female of Mount Prospect, advised police that the owner and sole employee of the business was allegedly at the location ingesting helium and held up a shotgun and “racked it”.
